I guess it’s kind of unheard of in the United States, or at least not as popular here but balsamic vinegar dressing is some of the best tasting dressing that I’ve ever had. My friend was visiting from Italy and he suggested I try some. He actually had ordered some from overseas from a shop that he buys his at back home and it got here the other day – this is really like nothing I’ve ever had before! I hadn’t ever heard of balsamic vinegar dressing so I thought it might be a new thing, turns out it’s been around for hundreds of years and in fact, sometimes single bottles are aged for a hundred years! That would actually explain the extremely high price of some of these. The one that he ordered was seventy five dollars (his parents are wealthy) but he said you can get cheaper versions for like ten or twenty dollars or if you know how to make your own then you can really save money. I guess that’s an option but I’m not going to wait one hundred years just to have a great tasting salad dressing on my death bed!

In any case, if you haven’t tried some balsamic vinegar dressing you should really check it out, maybe go to a fancy restaurant so you can have it without buying the entire bottle. I guess good things do come to those who wait!

I’m always looking for easy and quick ways to make some extra cash and recently I’ve been reading alot about taking scrap metal and turning it into cash by using the scrap metal price list as a way to tell what is valuable with the metal that you colllect. Really any metal that you see along side the road can be cashed in for some kind of money, but do you really want to pick up one hundred little cans in order to make a dollar? Probably not, so it pays to use the scrap metal price list and know exactly what it is that you’re collecting. Now when I drive by and see something I can see how much money I can get for it. If you see some of those metal hub caps laying around and they don’t look like they’re going to be claimed by their original driver those can be cashed in for like ten bucks or more! The way I look at it is five seconds of work (picking up the hub cap) translates into ten dollars, and that’s a couple of free drinks! The scrap metal price list can be found online at a bunch of websites and it’s updated frequently so you want to be up to par with what the hot metals are.

Now that I’ve been doing this awhile I can really know where the good spots to look for scrap metal, and the other plus size is that it cleans up the neighborhood!

Let the grilling begin!
Hey guys, been awhile since I made another post, i’m still getting used to this new web stuff. This weekend I went out for thanksgiving and bought an infrared grill online and I’m really excited to get around to using it. I read a lot about it online before purchasing one and I think this is really the way to go if you’re buying a new grill. From what I understand it will cook the meat twice as fast (specifically steaks!) and not only will it be faster but the taste will be better too since it has less time to allow the juices to run out.

I was able to sell my old gas grill for about 70 bucks so that definintely helps with the cost of it. I bought a TEC infrared grill from a place I found online. I hear they’re the inventors of the infrared grill and that it’s one of the best. Honestly if you’re going to spend this much money on something then I think you should just make sure you know what you are getting and buy the best quality that you can find. I really don’t want to have to return something like this because it doesn’t work or have to buy parts and replace something myself.

TEC said that my grill should be here in about a week and then I can get to cooking. I’ll post an update once I actually cook some real food and once I figure it all out I want everyone to come over and enjoy some steaks with me!

If you’ve known me for any amount of time, and if you’re reading this then you probably have you know how much I enjoy golfing. Also the weather where I live is pretty bad most of the time as it’s raining and or at least drizzling. For the past several years I’ve been wearing a regular rain coat out to golf in which has done a pretty decent job at keeping my upper body dry but my legs would get cold and drenched and my head would be covered in water. Not to mention when your hair gets wet the rain starts to drip in your eyes making the entire experience a pain in the butt. So for christmas my girlfriend got me a golf rain suit and it’s made all the difference in the world. Now not only do I keep the rain out of my face when I golf, but I actually stay dry and can enjoy myself.

but the biggest benefit I’ve had from getting the golf rain suit is just the fact that I have full range of motion know when I golf. Before I was restricted and didn’t even realize it because I had pretty much learned bad habits, but now I’m free to swing however I want without having to worry that I’m going to rip a hole in the back of my pants and have a wet butt the rest of the day.
Anyway, I’ll be out on the golf course, now I just need a good set of golf clubs and I’m set!

It’s no secret that I love to be cheap, and when I say cheap I don’t mean that I like to wear crappy clothing and eat out of a trash can (hmm). What I mean by cheap is I like to shop for bargains and save my money. I take satisfaction at looking at the things around me and in my house and knowing that I didn’t spend a ton of money, I’m not sure I could enjoy something if I knew I had spent a lot on it. So I went to spruce up my house this weekend and decided to get some vases; how expensive could they be? Very expensive as it turns out, all the good ones that I wanted had all this cool stuff in them like lights and colored water and were like two hundred dollars. I’m just not willing to spend that much on decorations.

so I went and checked out some garage sales and other less expensive places…I found the SAME stuff at really cheap prices. These were really cool vases. The best thing about getting cheap glass vases is you get to decide what you put inside of them , so you customize the entire look. It sounds kind of fruity but it’s actually really fun. I must have spent ten hours creating vases from little extra things I bought at the store and in the end I have a room full of excellent looking vases. Not only were they cheap, but they look good, I made them and so it’s just perfect.

I know I know, it sounds like a terrible thing to do and a huge waste of time. But I love taking care of my area and making things look nicer and I also like taking care of the envirnment. This is a really big deal to me and in all honesty it really matters to me. So I was trying to find a way that I can help the enviornment but at the same time make some money, that’s where I saw on the wall of an office building a scrap metal price list. It basically tells you what you can get for your scrap metal that you look for and collect. Some of it’s not worth crap, but others can really make you a lot of money! I think it’s kind of like treasure hunting, you just need to know where to look and when you find it you can cash it in. Right now I’m making like an extra one hundred dollars a week just by stopping by a couple of places on my way home from work and collecting their scrap metal and then cashing it in. It’s really easy and doesn’t take any extra time, and the best part is that I’m making my area look a lot nicer than it has before.

I could easily see myself turning this into a part time job where I make an extra couple thousand a month but that’s long term. Right now I’m still interested in my golf game
